PSHE
PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education) is a planned programme of learning through which children and young people acquire the knowledge, understanding and skills they need to manage their lives – now and in the future.
To ensure all areas of our PSHE curriculum are covered in each year group, we will be teaching this area of learning using ‘The Jigsaw Approach’ which is a comprehensive and completely original PSHE Education programme for the whole primary school from Foundation to Year 6. Jigsaw has two aims for all children: To build their capacity for learning and to equip them for life. For further information on what will be covered, Please click on the attachments.
Please note: All Jigsaw lessons are delivered in an age and stage appropriate way so that they meet children’s needs.
How can I find out more information about Jigsaw? The downloable document at the bottom of this page provides a great overview of Jigsaw and is specifically designed for parent and carers. If you would like more detail about year group content then you can visit the Jigsaw website: www.jigsawpshe.com or download the slides from the Parents Information Presentation delivered at the beginning of the year (saved to year group specific pages).
For specific information about Lime Tree's Relationship and Sex Education (RSE), which is taught with resources taken from Jigsaw, then look at the school's RSE policy - downloadable at LTPS School Policy Page
Or if there are any other questions then please speak to our PSHE lead.
