Autumn 1	Push or Pull? What’s the greatest force? Children will design and make a magnet powered vehicle. Through investigations of the forces of push and pull they will make design choices about how the car will be powered. Children will investigate the properties of materials and use this to inform their design. Project outcomes: Design and make a magnet-powered vehicle Present investigations showing: Distance travelled on different surfaces Strengths of magnets
Autumn 2	Technology How did people live in prehistoric Britain? Adding to a wattle and daub structure on the school grounds. Creating a cave painting inspired piece of art representing life in this period of history.
Spring 1	Engineering Design and construct a bridge which spans a given gap and holds a given load
Spring 2	Art Create a portrait inspired by the Tudor era.
Summer 1
Summer 2	Performance Art A travel show/guide to a European Country focussing on food, music and celebration.
