School Meals - Chartwells
Children may:
-
Have school lunch – prepared in the school kitchen and served in the School Hall. This is free to all Early Years and Key Stage 1 pupils under the Universal Free School Meals programme.
-
Bring a packed lunch – to be eaten in the School Hall (Please note: No sweets; fizzy drinks or products containing nuts should be brought into school).
The school use Chartwells to produce healthy, nutritious and tasty school meals.
For medical diet information please can you contact The Chartwells Approach to Medical Diets | Chartwells
Families who are eligible for Free School Meals should contact the School Office to inform them even though all children are eligible for free meals under the 'Universal Free School Meals programme'.
School lunches, for those who are required to pay, are payable via Parent Pay (please contact the school office if you do not have log in details for this). School lunches are currently £2.50 per day, and based on a six week half term would be £75.00 for the half term.
Fruit and Vegetable Scheme
The school takes part in the ‘Fruit and Vegetable Scheme’ which enables each child to have a piece of fruit or vegetable each day free of any charge.
Children are encouraged to bring a water bottle into school each day, which can be refilled from our drinking water taps. Please make sure that these are clearly named.
Food information regulations 2014 now require allergen information to be provided on all sold food. This will include food in a canteen.
We are a 'Cool Milk' school - register your child today to receive free and subsidised school milk http://www.coolmilk.com
