"Brighten Yourself Up" Day - 24th November 2017

During the week of the 20th November 2017, Lime Tree Primary school will be engaging in Road Safety Week alongside other schools all over the country.

As a ‘Bike It School’ we are enthusiastic about raising awareness of the importance of being seen by other road users when travelling to school at this time of year. We will be reinforcing the importance of this message throughout Road Safety week, and we are excited to announce that we will be taking part in a ‘Brighten Yourself Up’ day on Friday 24th November 2017.

We are inviting the children, and staff, to wear their brightest clothes, accessories and helmets to school. There will be a competition in each class, to find the children who have dressed in the brightest clothes, and they will receive a special award in our Friday assembly. This competition is open to everyone.

We are also encouraging the children to walk, scoot and cycle to school during Road Safety Week. At the end of the week, the class with the most children travelling to school by foot, scooter or bicycle will be awarded a special prize.

We hope to see you in your brightest clothes on Friday 24th November 2017.
