Spring has sprung at Wisley RHS

Year 2 had an amazing time during their trip to Wisley RHS Gardens as part of their 'Secret Garden' topic for this term.

We ordered the sunny weather and it did not disappoint! The Year 2’s enjoyed exploring the greenhouse and gardens. They named common plants and flowers such as daffodil, crocus, snowdrop and iris, and walked up the lookout point smelling the rosemary and lavender plants. They also completed a special plant workshop 'How Plants Grow: Discovering Plants' naming the different parts of trees and plants and planted their own wild flowers. Small shoots have started to appear already and they were excited to see what happens as the plants continue to grow. The children found the tallest tree at Wisley and were shocked to discover that it is not fully grown yet.

What an amazing day!
