Keep on donating, keep healthy & keep moving!

It's been quite a month already here at Lime Tree with lots of acts of kindness to others and ourselves!

Lime Tree, Loveworks and St Mathew's would like to say a huge thank you for all of your generous donations for Harvest! We were overwhelmed with the amount of food that was donated and believe we have really made a difference to our local community. The children were excited to sort the food they donated and even date checked as they went; they did a fantastic job!

Healthy Eating Week

Last week we had a wonderful time celebrating Healthy Eating Week. Starting on the Monday a breakfast bar was set up in the classrooms and the children got to choose a healthy cereal and jazzed it up with some fun fibrous fruits. Throughout the week we took part in different challenges to keep us fit and healthy. One of the highlights of the week were our class smoothies; the children had a democratic vote over which fruit and vegetables went into their class smoothies. There were some interesting choices, but all the children showed great courage and tried their new concoctions. Throughout the rest of the week we had challenges such as drinking plenty of water; a keep moving dice activity and a random act of kindness to keep our minds as healthy as our bodies!

Bike it Challenge

As part of Healthy Eating Week we were excited to set the children a ‘Bike it’ challenge. Our challenge was cycle or scoot to and from school every day (which could include your parents and carers too) for a whole week! We were really pleased to see all of our entries and even some wonderful pictures too. Keep your ears and eyes peeled for the winner to be announced in assembly.
