Reception visit to Merstham Library

On Wednesday 13th March the Reception children went on their first school visit to Merstham Library. They showed great determination and resilience walking there and back, even battling the windy weather! The children were incredibly responsible and applied all of their knowledge about road safety - "We have to wait until we see the green man!" Once we arrived the children learned all about the purpose of a library and where different libraries are in the local area. They took part in a quiz, listened to a story and learned about the different types of books available, fiction and non-fiction.

We had a fantastic time and the children have returned to school enthusiastic about our traditional tales topic! Thank you to all of our parent helpers who joined us on our visit to Merstham Library.
