Sparkfish Christmas Assembly

On Tuesday 4th December, Mick the Vicar from the Holy Trinity kindly visited Lime Tree to deliver an assembly all about the Christmas story. Mick shared the Christmas story using important symbols and props including: a giant cracker (the surprise!), a baby's dummy (baby Jesus was born) and paper crowns (The Three Wise Men) and invited some of the Year 5 children to the front to help him act out the narrative. Linking both to Religious Education and the British Values, Tolerance of Different Cultures and Religions and Mutual Respect, the children and staff reflected on their own beliefs and the beliefs of others during this festive time fo the year. "We learn about other festivals like Diwali and Hannukah so it's good to learn about Christmas too." (Y2 pupil)
