Extreme Reading Competition

Following the huge success from last year, we will be running a whole school ‘Extreme Reader’ competition, to celebrate World Book Day 2018. Where is the most extreme place your child has ever read a book? Please take a photo of your child reading in the most extraordinary place and send it into school (with their name and class written on it) with them by Wednesday 28th February. Parents/carers are also invited to send in photo’s of themselves reading in extreme places. These photos will accumulate to celebrate and promote a love of reading and create a fantastic display in our school library! This competition is open for everybody to join in! The winners (child, parent and staff member) will be announced on World Book Day and will receive a book token to spend on books of their own choice!

To celebrate World Book Day we invite your child to come to school on Thursday 1st March dressed as their favourite book character. Your child is welcome to bring in their chosen book linked to their character. They will be given the opportunity to talk about their favourite book and why they have chosen to dressed as this character.

Happy reading!
